 “Bars and Restaurants of Curitiba - 1950s and 1960s” is the result of exquisite research, which gave rise to the doctoral thesis in History, in 1997, complemented by a research of images that resulted in the exhibition “Between tables and balconies: restaurants and bars in Curitiba ”, at Casa Romário Martins in 2016. Now together in this work, they bring up the Curitiban memory of restaurants and bars. Bar Stuart, Churrascaria Cruzeiro, Bar Triangulo, Bar Mignon, Hunting and Fishing Restaurant, Bar Palácio, Bar Paraná, Ambassador Restaurant, Zacarias Restaurant, Rio Branco Restaurant, Ile de France, Gruta Azul Restaurant, Iguaçu, Cascatinha, Madalosso, Buraco do Tatu , Cinelândia da Ermelino, Cinelândia da Barão, There in Pasquale, Restaurante Colibri, are some of the spaces in our city that made, and some still do, from the trips to bars and restaurants a ritual of appreciation of commensality and celebration of friendship and of life.
